Synopsis
March 1964. Angelo Rizzoli, Federico Fellini and Giulietta Masina, along with the actors, screenwriters and technicians forming the cast of 8 1/2 are on their way to Los Angeles. Destination: Oscar night. During their layover in New York, Ennio Flaiano, Fellini's companion in film adventures for over 20 years, decides to go back to Rome. This decision becomes the starting point of the documentary that investigates the depth of Flaiano's contribution to cinema, retracing the life and works of one of the most fruitful, original and sensitive figures of postwar Italian culture.
