Synopsis
Passing through artists’ studios, foundations, galleries and museums, the documentary narrates the birth and evolution of Arte Povera and tells about the protagonists of this radical and innovative movement, from 1967 to the present, showing its influence in the contemporary art scene both in Italy and abroad. Vintage images and materials are enriched by testimonies from artists, gallery owners, photographers and family members. Valuable is the long conversation with Germano Celant conducted in 2019 during the installation of the Jannis Kounellis retrospective at the Fondazione Prada at Cà Corner in Venice.
