The documentary revolves around the multifaceted figure of Emilio Isgrò, the artist of erasure, visual poet, writer, and playwright. Isgrò's creative universe is thus filled with multidisciplinary experiences, all traceable to the same creative source: the artist of erasure expresses himself through his relationship with words. By engaging with the ‘sacred’ texts of Italian literature, civil texts, and declarations of human rights, and by redrawing geographical maps, silhouettes of faces, and portraits, Emilio Isgrò erases in order to reconstruct new meanings. Through this relationship between word and image, he questions the meaning of existence and the value of human relationships, keeping alive the dialogue between poetry, art, literature, history, and civil society.
