Emilio Vedova. Dalla parte del naufragio

On the centenary of Emilio Vedova’s birth (Venice, 1919-2006), the documen­tary traces the extra-ordinary human and artistic vicissitude of the great painter through the pages of his diaries, rare archi­ve materials and precious contributions from artists, curators, collaborators and friends. The story is punctuated by the fun­damental passages of political, social and art history that characterized the twentieth century, and, against the background of an almost ethereal Venice, returns, than­ks to the passionate interpretation of Toni Servillo and the almost personal and direct dialogue with Vedova, the deep personali­ty and the powerful trait of one of the most significant artists of the 1900s.
