Hide Synopsis
Fabio Sargentini is the director of the historic "Galleria L'Attico" in Rome, which he opened together with his father in 1957. In the 1960s and 1970s, L'Attico was a hub of the avant-garde, championing the work of Pino Pascali, Jannis Kounellis and Gino De Dominicis, artists who would go on to become part of the Arte Povera group. He was also the first in Italy to exhibit the work of the Americans Sol LeWitt (Minimal Art) and Robert Smithson (Land Art). A gallerist but also an actor, director and writer, Sargentini has distinguished himself by transcending the boundaries between the arts, bringing together painting, sculpture, performance, theatre, music and dance.
