Synopsis
My trip to Italy is a documentary film where the director of the greatest Italian authors: Giovanni Pastrone, Alessandro Blasetti, Roberto Rossellini, Vittorio De Sica, Luchino Visconti, Federico Fellini and Michelangelo Antonioni. They are shown and commented on by the director.
The work is a tribute to the Italian cinema that Scorsese has loved since childhood and which will greatly influence him in his career as a director.
