This is the story of Gillo Dorfles, born in 1910, an art and design critic, professor of aesthetics, but also a doctor, painter, poet and much more besides. A documentary dedicated to this key figure of our contemporary era: from his encounters with the leading artists and writers of the twentieth century (Saba, Toscanini, Joyce), to his travels between Brasília under construction and 1950s America. And further still, his insights into the discipline of design and his studies on kitsch.
