Ettore Sottsass is known worldwide as one of the promoters of the revolution in the field of architecture and design, inaugurating the great season of Radical (1966-1972). In 1981 he founded the Memphis group, together with Hans Hollein, Arata Isozaki, Andrea Branzi, Michele de Lucchi and other international architects. Considered one of the masters of Italian design, he contaminates his academic training as an architect with direct experiences in the field of visual arts. Over the years, he has received numerous Compasso d’oro and other internationally acclaimed awards.
